Every mother wants to find time to spend with her son, to achieve this was the reason that Providence Academy held the Mother-Son event on Feb. 20.
At the event, mothers and sons were able to participate in lots of fun activities including Blackjack, Family Feud, Wii games, and a gift-card raffle. A taco bar, snacks and refreshments were all provided for the moms and sons to enjoy. Every person who went had a fun time and even some of the NET Team members participated.
The evening started out with everyone going to the activity they wanted to participate in, which ended up with the students hanging out with their friends and the mothers socializing.
When asked, a student named Griffin Sepala, said that the event was “fun” and that the “food was pretty good”.
The night continued with multiple activities that the mothers and sons participated in. If someone participated in an activity, they were given a pair of tickets with identical numbers. They would then separate the tickets and put one of the two in a blue bag for the raffle in hopes of winning the gift card on a certain bag.
One of the activities that most people participated in was Wingo. This is a variant of Bingo, where participants are given the equivalent of four boards with numbers, instead of just one. This was a favorite among the people who played.
The Mother-Son event was extremely fun for everybody who attended. It had no shortage of activities, refreshments, and prizes. This was also, beyond a doubt, one of the highlights for the mothers in the academic year.
